Typ:
”Each Monster is defined by a different internal struggle defined by two words/concepts, called the Thesis and the Antithesis. These words and a number are also defining the rules of playing the monster. For example: Varney is an aristocratic vampire. His internal struggle is trying to remain human in the face of his bloodthirst. So his Thesis is Monster while his Antithesis is Man. In this case Monster implies that it is rolled against when Varney uses his supernatural powers, does violence and so on. In this case Man implies that it should be rolled against when Varney tries to function in normal society. The Thesis and the Antithesis can be whatever they need to be to reflect the internal struggle of the Monster and this changes what you roll against and when. For example, Varney might have the Thesis Dead and the Antithesis Alive. Or he might have Gentleman and Barbarian. The Thesis and Antithesis might be even more abstract than this, a Monster that is a prophetic Mothman might have the Thesis Future and the Antithesis Present. A ghost might have Being and Not Being. A zombie scientist might have Braaains! and Brains.”
