The eight spells contained within the magical book, the octarion, was used by the maker when he created the discworld. The book itself is so dangerous that it has to be contained within a special room in the guild of mages in Ankh-morpork. One of the eight spells has such power that any wizard that enter this room is in danger or being posessed by the spell of the octarion, especially if the curious wizard happens to look inside the book which is bound with chains and several locks just to keep it still.
Any wizard who looks into the book of the octarion must immediatley make a Will save with a DC 60. If the save fails, the one most powerful spell of the octarion will immediatley leave the book and possess the wizard, even if he is not capable of casting a spell of that level.
This has the following effect on the spellcaster;
- He is unable to prepare any spells in the future. The one spell takes upp all space in his memory (or perhaps it scares away lesser spells, who knows?)
- Everytime the spellcaster becomes nervous, stressed, or in any way excited - the spell tries to be spoken by the wizard, who must make a will save DC 15, in order to not start casting the spell.
- If the spellcaster begins to cast the spell, he must make a DC 15 will save each round in order to be able to resist it and discontinue the casting.
If ever the spell is fully cast, the spell will begin to unleash all the powers that binds the world together. Only on a very special place, in a special time, during a unique event will it be safe to cast the one spell, and that only if the rest of the 8 spells of the octarion has been cast first...
