Cthulhu 1920
These rules are intendet to be an alterative to the standard BRP rules in Call of Cthulhu. This document is intended for experienced gamers, and therefore contain no information on how to play role-playing games or explanation for the different concepts used in most role-playing games.
Character creation
In these rules the character has seven attributes, a variable number of skills and a few other characteristics.
Experience points (XP)
In this game the characters experience both before his adventures starts and during play is represented by experience points. These points are used to by new skills and improve the skills the character already has.
When you create a character you get a hundred experience points to allocate on his skills according to the rules in the skill section. After every adventure the character will get a few more points to spend on skills he used or came in contact with during the adventure.
Attributes
Each character has seven attributes, which measure basic physical and mental abilities.
Physique measure the strength and durability of the characters body. Dexterity measure the agility and balance and control the character has over his body. Perception measures the characters awareness of things around him and attention to details. Charisma measures emotional strength, physical quickness, physical attractiveness and personality. Intelligence measures the characters strength of memory, creativity and logical thinking. Willpower measures the characters control over his own thoughts and reactions. Education measures formal and factual knowledge possessed by the character.
When you create your character you should allocate 25 attribute points on the seven attributes so that each attribute gets a value between two and five.
