Spelet har idag en klassisk smidighetsbaserad initiativmekanism: man slår 3d6 och lägger till Dexterity.
Här ett förslag som låter andra egenskaper också spela roll vad gäller att agera först:

Basic Initiative: Roll 1d6; ties mean you act simultaneously.
Perception: A character can always replace his roll with his Perception, effectively turning your Perception ability score into a minimum Initiative.
This rule governs most general situations, including combat and exploration. At the GMs discretion, a character might use Communication or Cunning in place of Perception. For instance, in a "battle of wits" or when forced to solve a puzzle quickly, use Cunning. In a "battle of quips" or when forced to make up an excuse quickly, use Communication.
1 SP. React Stunt. You replace your Initiative score with your Dexterity (Initiative); immediately changing the order in which characters take their turns (possibly even allowing you to take two turns in a row).

Jag har även tänkt införa en talang, typ +1, +2, +3 kumulativt på ditt initiativvärde (dvs både d6-slaget och den grundegenskap du ev byter ut slaget mot) för Novice, Journeyman, Master nivåerna. Talangen är tänkt representera allmän erfarenhet och träning.
