Förlorad dotter
Haj, jag sparkade just igång min Dark Heresy kampanj.
Just kicked off my scum campaign. Its going to be awesome. I going to do short miniscenes of how they were recruited one by one before proceeding with their first mission as a cell. I was planning to use the idea I presentedhere.
The inquisitor has stopped at a space station posing of a drug lord posting as a trader. He will be investigating a cult among the hobnobs. A shuttle from the world supplying the station has docked but is denied entering the station because they got mutant hiding somewhere in the shuttle. The PC are sent in posing as mercenary to clear away the problem and double check so it don't have anything do with the cult thingy. They will also find a stove away girl with a prominent port wine stain and need to decide if the should kill her like a mutant, even if she isn't or let her go. The mutants was of course placed on the ship, and someone is trying to whip up bloodthirsty panic on the ship to fuel a ritual.
I run my campaigns in a focusing a lot on npcs with own agendas crashing with the PC and reacting to the PCs actions. Since this is just the introduction 3 pc will be prominent.
The NPCs:
Inquisitor Tristan Aubrey
The old and gray Inquisitor Tristan Aubrey of Ordo Hereticus was one of the subsectors biggest crime lord and a latent hundreds of years of ago before he became a Inquisitor. Now he still one of the subsector biggest crime lords but under a multitude of names and fake identities and a powerful psyker.
He believes that crime is a healthy and necessity part of the Imperium, if it kept in balance. He also know that it also easily becomes infected by heresy. And that heresy is better found and death with from within the realm of crime.
In his organization he expect people to learn the skills of the crook, the burglar and cut purse.
Personally he is a bit on the fabulous and flamboyant side, with a dazzling manner of a pirate king. He also dyslectic and like not to be told so, making his coded message an challenge at best.
And he generally really likes “his people”, and thous works him for him got hid full confidence to act in whatever manner they think is best, but got to answer for their actions. Failure is not a crime, mistakes is how you learn but you have to start fron the bottom to regain it. You cant run an effective organization that you can trust and rely if you kill everyone who ever make an mistake, the Inqvitiosns turnover rate is already bad enough at it is.
Interrogator Esilla Crimson - Acolytes boss.
Priest takes bribes and makes deals and some make an art of it. In this art Esilla Crimson is Picasso, a master of masters. She two meter tall, muscular dark queen of a pristess, and often carriyng power armor given the chance.
I moment notice she swings from deathly intimidating to motherly hearty. No matter what mode she in she might pinch your cheek. Made to be respected but frustrating for the PC.
Charlie - The Acolyte cells contacts person for everyday stuff.
Esilla boyfriend. How and why the relationship work is a mystery. Once a fraud and gentleman thief on Sibillus now a master of disguise and a skilled sniper. Easy going and easy to deal with. To easy to deal with. Might fool and manipulate the PC in a playful manner.
The PCs:
The Arbitrator/Scum (Arvid)
Born on hive Taurus, this shady Dirty Harry'esc, the ends justify the means arbitrator wasn't found by the Inquisition, he found one of their operations while investigation calixus pattern killings. A action worthy a quick end or a bright future in the inquisition. Male
The Assasin/Scum (Jessica)
A brutal Moritat assassin from Dusk, that will eat anything and give everyone nicknames to avoid calling the daemons attention to them. Female
The Untouchable Adept/Scum (David)
After a life a hate and bullying the adept picked up quite impressive dodge skill as well as some other fighting skills in self defense. Worked on a backwater imperial world at a historical library before being taken by the inquisition. Male.
The Psyker/Scum (John)
His lower body was destroys under his sanctioning, leaving both legless and enuch. In a spiderlegged wheelchair he served enduring hardships beyond the edge of civilization, standing watch over a sleeping unholy desert, with twenty of this psyker brethren. Then a an inquisitor went into the desert and the evil resting in the desert died and he was recruited bu the inquisitor to place the psykers in his company that fallen.
A year later, after a long undercover mission on luxury he become immensely fat and pleased. Male, once.
