Nu har det hänt igen - Wizards drar ned på personalen. Saxat från gamingreport.com:
Gaming Report has received details that Wizards of the Coast has done some changes to key staff positions today. We have received official word that the changes were limited to Wizards of the Coast and did not extend to Hasbro. We do not have a complete list on who was effected by this change but do know the changes affect both high level and key design positions in the company and brands.
Gaming Report contacted Wizards of the Coast for more details and briefly spoke with Toby Nelson, Public Relations official for Wizards of the Coast. Nelson confirmed the changes and that approximately 15 employees were effected by today's actions. "We would not characterize this change as major, these were selective and strategic decisions", said Nelson. "These changes have been made to give Wizards added flexibility and the ability to rapidly adapt to the changing trends in the hobby game market."
Some of the Wizards of the Coast Staff affected by this change and are no longer with Wizards are:
•Cornelius Lee, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Wizards of the Coast
•Joe Hauck, Vice-President of Marketing for Wizards of the Coast
•Peter Archer, Director of Book Publishing for Wizards of the Coast
•Mike Elliott, Director of Design and Lead designer of Hecatomb for Wizards of the Coast
•Charles Ryan, Dungeons & Dragons Brand Manager
Nelson went on to express that in no way do these changes represent that Wizards of the Coast is in trouble; "Magic is still number 1 and Duel Masters is exceeding expectations in Japan".
Som det ser ut verkar det främst vara personal i ledande ställning på marknadssidan som berörs och Charles Ryan är det enda namn jag känner igen.
