Are there any English-speaking role-playing groups in or around Karlstad? Depending on the gaming frequency, I’d be willing to travel beyond the borders of Värmland for occasional gatherings.

Well, me and my group are located in Karlstad but I cannot promise that our level of English is good enough for a native-English speaker.

We do play every other Saturday with some exceptions and so far we have only played in Swedish but as long as you are ok with grammar mistakes and some strange use of words, then we are happy to try to play in English if you would like to visit us.
