Story Points.
Skills/Abilities/Gear all add 1D on Challenge rolls. Complications are -1D. The Director can use the actual game rules for skills/abilities as guidance for outcome/limitations etc, but skip everything with pips etc, Story Points are also handled different.
One Success (4+) is considered a Limited Success, two is Good, three is Great etc. A 6 is considered an Exploded Dice and is rerolled.
Damage & Wounds
Each success = Vitality loss. Reduce Vitality by the number of successes. You’re
Out Cold if Vitality runs out.
Option: Take
Wounded instead of Vitality loss. You’re at −1D6 on all rolls until healed.
Option: Take
Mortal Peril instead of Vitality loss. If Vitality runs out, you’re dead.
Vitality is restored at the end of the fight. Wounded drops after a recuperation scene of two days. Mortal Peril drops at the end of the fight
Defense roll against Ranged attacks. Base 1D + Agility 1D if in cover or + Resiliance ID if not in cover + Gear 1D (body armor etc)
Defense roll against Melee attacks. Base1D + 1D for Melee + Gear 1-2D (parrry Weapon + body armor etc) + Ability (Judo/Boxer etc)
