As a gamer in Sweden for more than thirty years running, I was
intrigued by finding "The Scandinavian Gaming Community" on your
shortlist for the fourth annual award. There was no link or comment
included and discussions on various gaming forums are running wild. Do
you care to divulge any for details on this?

We don't let the impracticality of a nominee prevent us from
recognizing what we like. We were impressed by the dedication to gaming
we saw in the Scandinavian countries, especially at various
conventions.

An interesting question is also who is included as a nominee in this
case, since "[The winner} and the other nominees receive the right to
use the Diana Jones Award logo for promotional purposes." Can all
gamers in Scandinavia expect the right to use the Diana Jones Award
logo for promotion after this?

No. No one person could claim to be the entire community.

Finally, if this nominee is to win the award, who is expected to
appear at GenCon to accept it on behalf of the community? The
community is rather large and without any obvious figureheads. Have
you approached any particular organization or individual already?

No. Again, we're not concerned about such matters. We'll be happy to
make a massive toast in the direction of Scandinavia if its gaming community
wins the award.
