Sorry for not writing in Swedish, I don't know it yet :gremwink:

We're a couple from Montreal, Canada (26 and 28 yo) and since we'll be living in Stockholm for 2 years due to our studies/work, we're looking for a fun and mature group to play D&D 3rd edition with - starting from January 2005. We are also interested to play D&D Minis or other good games occassionally.

We have 15 and 3 years of experience as players respectively and have all the relevant books etc. We want to play in English, but our native language is not English either, so we don't care if your English is not perfect! French-speakers also welcome.

Drop me an email if interested, please - krokuss@yahoo.com

No problem, English is perfectly understandable to most people in Sweden, especially gamers since most of the games are in English.

I just hope poeple remembers to answer in English also...

Terrence and Philip? Just kidding!

I'm sure you'll find some players here, there are many active players on these forums, especially in the Stockholm area. Be sure to give our domestic games a test spin also!

nope :gremtongue: We're a couple, a guy (my husband) and a girl (me!) . We currently have an awesome group, but since we'll be leaving for Stockholm in January, we have to leave them *cries*.

But I'm sure we'll find some amazing people in Sweden :gremlaugh:

D&D in Stockholm

Hi!

There are quite a lot of D&D players in Stockholm, so I don't think you'll have any poblems finding players, once you get here.

We occasionally have what we call "Board Meetings" (hmmm, actually "Forumsträffar", but it roughly translates) where we go out and meet other people from this community, and several of us are also D&D-players. We sometimes have mini-cons as well, so make sure you post a message when you get here, so that we can make sure you're invited!

I think it will be easier to find a group once you're here.

Cheers!

Magnus

As in "Message Board Meetings", just to avoid confusion. An opportunity to meet like-minded people you know online in real life.

What the heck! Why not? …

I've been reading and re-reading your post for the last couple of days, not being able to make up my mind whether I should reply or not.

You see, I've never DM:ed in English before. But, hey, there's a first time for everything, right?

So, what I'm trying to say is: You're more than welcome to join my gaming group (and I'm pretty confident that I speak for all of us).

You can either join my recently started Eberron campaign (currently five players) or we can start a completely new group.

The current group consists of six guys, ranging between 22 and 35 years of age, with something like 100 years of gaming experience between us. We try to meet regularly every other Sunday in central Stockholm.

Feel free to contact me when you arrive in Stockholm, and we'll work something out.

Also: I'm curious how you got to hear about this web site—I mean, it's all in Swedish and doesn't really attract a lot of non-scandinavians.

Om du söker fler spelare hänger jag gärna på. Jag har inget emot att spela på engelska. Varannan söndag låter mycket bra. Jag bor också mitt i stan.

Jag tror inte att du skulle trivas... [ANT]

Faktiskt.

Dante tillåter nämligen half-orc monks och halfling paladins.

and what exactly ...

... is wrong with half-orc monks? provided that someone actually *wants* to play one ... o_O

~

hej Dante, thanks for the offer :gremwink:

A swede I know from an online game I play found me this site when I asked him about swedish roleplaying-related forums. Registering was not that difficult - you don't have to know swedish for ''password'' to realize they ask for password

I'll send you an email, so we can discuss it and see if we might click, kay?

~

Any other interested persons out there, feel free to drop me email!

Half-orcs fall over all the time...

I can vouch for them, they are good and serious gamers. I've played a lot with most of them before they managed to got out of the shitty town where I am still stuck. I would probably play with them if I lived in Stockholm.

Re: 2 canadians looking for a D&D group in Stockho

I want to play!! I have been dying to roleplay for 3 years now, ever since I moved back to Sweden from Michigan (wish I'd know about this forum earlier...). Playing in English would be ideal for me since I never played in any other language, and I miss speaking English anyways. I would reeeally love to hook up with you guys!

Your description of what you're looking for sound about like what I am looking for, and allowing half-orc monks sounds like my preferred kind of DM:ing. I even speak some French, and would love a chance to speak it more.

Jag avsåg den nya gruppen med kanadickerna. Skicka ett email om du vill ha en spelare till.

Jag kommer röja loss rejält!

Vad kör du med för system att slå fram abilities? 5d6?
