I've received a lot of emails from people offering to help with the problem described below. I appreciate the support, and am immensely grateful to you all.
There are now two methods in place by which you can make a donation:
1) If you have a credit card, you can make a donation to Expeditious Retreat Press. They will collect credit card donations to send to the server host.
2) If you want to use PayPal, you can do so by sending a donation to Eric Noah. His PayPal address is
ericnoah@charter.net. Important note from Eric: "Important note -- PayPal users, if your PayPal account is funded by a credit card, my PayPal account can't accept it. So please use the Expeditious Retreat Press option if that's the case. Thank you!"
We'll keep collecting for a while in the hope that we can cover the current debt by tomorrow (that's $1600) and then any beyond that can go towards future hosting (which is $400 per month).

Hi everyone,
I'm afraid that I have some bad news to tell you.
As you may recall, I announced a while back that I was looking for a full-time job. As yet, I haven't been successful in this, and the site hasn't been generating much by way of revenue. The result of this is that EN World's account with its server host is falling well into arrears. At present, EN World is 3 months behind on its payments, and will be 4 months behind as of the 1st of November in 3 days' time.
Cyberstreet have been very, very patient and extremely kind; up until now they have agreed to wait for payment, and I have been doing everything I can to turn the situation around. However, Cyberstreet did set a final deadline, which was October 28th, and I am still unable to settle the account.
The result of this situation is that Cyberstreet will turn off our server in the next couple of days, and it will remain off until the account is settled. I realise that I am telling you all this at the last moment, but my intention was to avoid worry - keeping EN World running is my responsibility, and the last thing I wanted to do was to burden you with the problems I'm experiencing. The only reason I'm telling you now is that it looks like I've exhausted all options, and I felt that you deserved some warning (even if that warning didn't amount to much).
I apologise for the situation, and I want you to know that I am doing everything I can to get it fixed. It seems unavoidable that we will experience an extended period of downtime, starting very soon. While the server is down, however, please be reassured that it will come back up, somehow, although I can't give you a date. No data will be lost, as I own the actual server, and so there is nothing to worry about on that score.
I hope you'll all be patient, and I apologise again for the situation. We will be back online as soon as possible.
