Här är knarkreglerna jag petade ihop till Iron Kingdoms när det begav sig, säkert något du kan sno:
My players requested some drug rules since they're building a criminal empire in Five Fingers. Here they are, feel free to use what you want:
Drugs of the Iron Kingdoms
The people and races of Caen are not adverse to adding to daily life drudgery. Be it from drinking tea and smoking pipe to drinking Sangre or Uiskey. But in the world of drugs there are drugs and drugs. This is a rundown of some of the heavy stuff circulating among Five Fingers settlers.
General rules:
Effects: Bonuses gained from drug use do not stack, i.e three doses of Thimble do not grant +3 initiative. Combining different drugs with similar effects do stack, but that is a hard road to walk.
Addiction: All drugs carry a risk of addiction. This is measured in instance and is shown in number of doses per time unit before a character has to test for addiction. An addiction test is a willpower test against a target number, if failed the character is addicted.
Kicking the habit: Stopping using the poison of choice is much harder than gaining the addiction. To kick a habit the character must succeed with a willpower test per day for as many days as the drugs addiction willpower test level (so 14 days for Thimble, 16 for Flogg). The difficulty of the test is the difficulty of the drugs addiction test +4 (i.e. 18 for Thimble, 20 for Flogg and so on). If a character fails it has to restart the tests. That's why Rock Salt is called a death drug after all. For each year doing a drug, the WP-test levels are increased by one.
*Thimble [Synthetic]
A pick-me-up at 2gc a dose. Comes as a liquid. Often used as a counter to being hung-over. Extremely flammable [A dose is ingested and kicks in immediately. The effect lasts for 30 minutes. Grants +1 to Initiative and a refreshing feeling. Instance: 3 doses/day, WP test 14. If addicted a character gets no bonus from the drug but must get at least 4 doses/day or suffer -4 initiative]. A dose can be used as a weapon. Pouring Thimble on an enemy and lighting it is a melee attack that adds the burning condition to an enemy.
*Flogg [Synthetic]
Originally an alchemical coating for ocean going rigging it comes laced on pieces of string or shoelaces. It is chewed to release the sedative. 4gc is enough for a piece of string with approximately 2 doses. For some reason Ogruns are especially susceptible and go comatose on a double dose.
[A dose is chewed for 10 minutes before the effect sets in. The effect lasts for 1 hour. Grants Immune to terror, always go last on Initiative rolls, -1 to all skill rolls and a cold detached feeling. Instance: 2 doses/day WP test 16. If addicted a character gets Immune to terror from the drug but must get at least 4 doses/day or suffer -4 to all skill rolls].
*Mumbleweed [Natural/Synthetic]
A dried weed primarily found in the borderlands of the Bloodstone Marches. Its pollen spread during one night in early spring known as Ghost Night and have a hallucinogenic effect. The weed itself is dried and ground and mixed with smokeweed and smoked for its relaxing effect and red-tinged hallucinations. Users are very amenable to suggestions. Highly addictive, the drug of choice for artists and musicians. 2gc a dose, has no effect on gobbers. The synthetic variant is easily noticed since it doesn't give the hallucinations. Frowned upon, but cheaper at 1gc per dose. [A dose is mixed with smokeweed and smoked, the effect sets in immediately. The effect lasts for 1 hour. Grants Immune to terror, always go last on Initiative, -2 to all military skills and a warm fuzzy feeling. Instance: 2 doses/day WP test 18. If addicted a character gets Immune to terror from the drug but must get at least 4 doses/day or suffer -4 to all skill rolls and suffers weird hallucinations].
*Poof [Natural/Synthetic*]
A dried mushroom only found at the sight of old battle fields and where massacres have occurred and only in very damp conditions. The dried and ground mushrooms are snorted to give a short burst of strength and speed at the cost of losing the sense of hearing for much longer than the effect of the drug, costs 4gc a dose. For some reason only removes hearing for trollbloods and pygs without the positive effects. Maybe because they lack nostrils and try to ingest it. There is rumor in really unsavory circles that there is a recipe of synthetic Poof which requires necrotite... [A dose is snorted and the effect sets in immediately. Grants +2 Str, +2 Spd for 3 combat turns and a feeling of reckless invincibility for 30 min. Also deafness for at least 2 hours. Instance: 2 doses/day WP test 12. If addicted a character gets no bonuses from the drug except a feeling of reckless invincibility but must get at least 4 doses/day or suffer -2 to Str].
*Squink [Natural] (Lore Scharde, Lore Five Fingers) The ink from a special kind of squid off the Broken Coast is refined and used in the form of eye drops. It gives a rush and a feeling of superhuman senses, especially skin sensitivity. Often used as a party drug and an aphrodisiac. Highly addictive, prolonged use stains the whites of the eyes. 5gc per dose, but hard to come by. [A dose is dropped on the eyeball and the effect is immediate and lasts for 1h. Grants Heightened reflexes, all senses are extremely heightened and a feeling of supreme confidence and an exaggerated libido. Also a lack of appetite and frequent nosebleeds are gained. Instance: 1 dose/day WP test 16. If addicted a character gets Heightened reflexes from the drug and becomes paranoid and aggressive].
*Rock Salt [Natural] (Lore Rhulic, or Rhulic born)
The rhulic choice of death drug Rock Salt is mined by lesser clans with bad reputations. Also known as Miner's Love. A dose is a pinch of mineral put under the tongue and the effect is immediate. Unfortunately it doesn't last long leaving the user clamoring for more. 1gc per dose. It is a classic source of wage slaves in the bad rhulic communities. [A dose is put under the tongue and the effect is immediate and lasts for 30 minutes. Grants Tough and +1 Str and a feeling of total indifference. Also a lack of appetite and frequent nosebleeds are gained. Instance: 1 dose/day WP test 16. If addicted a character gets Tough from the drug but feels indifferent to everything and must get at least 8 doses/day or suffer -2 to Str. For each year doing Rock Salt, reduce Vitality by 1, until the character dies].
*Caulker's Pitch [Synthetic]
Caulker's Pitch or just Pitch is a white powder that is ingested as a tea. Originally used by the dockworkers in Five Fingers it has spread to magic users in western Immoren. It decreases heart rate and gives a sense of harmony. 2gc per dose. [A dose is ingested and the effect sets in after 10 minutes. Grants Willpower +3 for 2h. Instance: 2 doses/day WP test 14. If addicted a character gets no bonuses from the drug but must get at least 2 doses/day or suffer -4 Willpower.]
*
Sprine [Natural]
Sprine is culled from a bladder of a special kind of swordfish caught out in the Meridius, making it a very rare drug indeed. Injected it gives the ability to shrug off wounds and heal at an astounding rate. 20gc per dose. Extremely rare (only likely to find max 4 doses at any given time. [A dose is injected and the effect sets in after half an hour. Grants Feat: Revitalize for 12h. Instance: 2 doses/day WP test 14. If addicted a character gets no bonuses from the drug but must get at least 2 doses/day or suffer -1 to all stats except ARC.]
*Rage Pills [Natural] (Lore Khador)
Rage Pills is the dried and powdered Khadoran mushroom known as Devil's Toadstool. The mushroom is lethally poisonous when eaten raw, but in tiny amounts it provokes aggression and melee prowess. Much favored by unscrupulous doormen in Five Fingers. A dose usually comes with the powder boiled into red sweets called Rage Pills. 2 gc per dose. [A dose is ingested and the effect sets in after 2 minutes. Grants Berserk and +1Mat at the cost -5 to Poi for 10 minutes. Instance: 2 doses/day WP test 16. If addicted a character gets Berserk from the drug but must get at least 2 doses/day or suffer -4 Willpower and -2 Mat.]
