Spitfire
Swordsman
Rabids
A lesser Fallen that usually possess predatory animals to wreak havoc on the countryside and its humans inhabitants. Their increased aggression together with human like intelligence and planning have made people suspect the supernatural causes behind these creatures giving arise to for instance the Werewolf myth.
Modern science explains it as outbreak of rabies instead of the superatural which has actually helped track and deal with this kind of fallen.
Rabids hate humans and generally go out of their way to terrorize and kill them if given the opportunity. Humans are the only ones who have sufficient intelligence to mount up a coordinated defense and hunt down the rabids.
Rabids have the true appearance of four legged shadows with red eyes. Like a mix of a huge cat or dog.
Rabids always possess predators or at the least omnivores that naturally occur in the region they appear. Very rare is the instance when a herbivore gets possessed, but not impossible. Since they like to spread terror in their human victims and attack in the cover of darkness they also prefer to inhabit dark-coloured members of the species like black panthers, black dogs and black bears.
When humans get possessed it is usually quick and brutal as they usually after a brief period run amok until stopped by law enforcement or commit suicide as they run out of victims, making the possessed human their last victim.
Possession can spread as a disease since survivors of a Rabid attack gets infected by a disease that lowers their Aura (making them more likely to be possessed by other Rabids. A rabid can only remain possession as long as its stability is higher than the victims Aura. If Stability drops or the victims Aura increases the rabid disconnects from the body. Omnivores adds +10 to their Aura to resist possession while herbivore animals adds 20.
Rabid
Roll the following dice to generate a random rabid
Stability: 2d6+3
Reaction: 3d6
Defence: 3d6
Toughness: 20
Pain limit: 3d6+10
Aura: 1d6
Physical skills: 2d6
Melee skills: 3d6
Gifts:
The bodies of those possessed by Rabids generate a virus that is transferred through their saliva.
Infected loses one point of Aura per day until treated.
Weakness:
Modern day medicine and knowledge about how to treat them has greatly lowered the chances of a outbreak of Rabids.
Contact with holy items (like consecrated silver bullets for instance) also lowers the Stability of the rabid.
