Cheers gang. A few questions for veterans of Ereb Altor:

* The campaign guide mentions an Æsir-dyrkan faith. That obviously looks pretty faux-nordic mythology but does any book discuss it in any more detail ? The main Ereb Altor book seems to just mention it in passing.

* Is there a high quality (or just okay quality even) black and white map of Ereb online somewhere? I've looked around but mostly seem to get maps for some video game.

* Do ducks just speak human languages?

* On the topic of languages, I recall in the 91 DoD rules seeing comments about what languages a character begins the game with. Is there anything like that for Expert anywhere? (f.x. elves speak a human language + elf language etc.)

Thanks guys.

I think all you need (and much much more) could be found here: http://www.erebaltor.se/forum/

cant recall seeing a high quality b/w map though...

While not being either DoD or EA, upcoming Kopparhavets hjältar still manages to adresses all of the above btw. Apart from delving deeper into the gods of the north. In fact, we dont mention Aesir at all :)

But as I said, you find plenty over at http://erebaltor.se/wiki/index.php?title=Æsír

As I recall, ducks just speak the same language as the nearby humans. It's fairly rare for them to build societies of their own, after all.

I think the idea in pre-91 versions was that PCs started with their native language, and if they wanted more than that they would need to learn it. In a way, that makes for a subtle extra cost to playing a dwarf or an elf, since you need to spend EPs to learn to speak Jori.

Thanks guys. I'll definitely check out that forum!

@Staffan - That makes sense. Would make up a bit for the various advantages they get otherwise.
