Surprised with so many nerds here, that there is not a thread for metal albums ![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
So if you find or listen to something really cool, share it here.
Thread rules (if I may)
A: Lets use a pretty open definition of metal. If the odd hardcore, metalcore etc. album is posted, who cares as long as its good shit.
B: Threads that are just a series of links are boring. Say a few sentences about WHY you like the album or the history of the band or whatever. At least what style or subgenre they belong to.
C: Don't post multiple albums in a row, maybe like 1 a day ?
(and yes, please feel free to post in Swedish
)
One of the bands I have been absolutely fired up about for a couple of years is 1914, a Ukrainian outfit singing about WW1.
All of their albums slay, but the most recent one is completely awesome. Death metal like grandma made it. The track "and a cross now marks his grave" includes excerpts from an actual letter written to the relatives of a fallen soldier.
