ZERO GRAVITY
Sooner or later, you will have to tackle the trademark of space work – the utter lack of gravity. Unless you’re used to it, it makes moving about harder. Task checks for Agility and Melee are all at -2 pips, as well as any other task check where the Director deems the lack of gravity to be impeding.
Zero-G also functions as a zone restriction in combat. To successfully enter a Zero-G Zone you must succeed at an Agility task check. Failure results in you moving to a randomly selected adjacent zone instead.
ABILITES
ASTRONAUT
Tier 1: Requires Agility 65%
Learning: Agility
Cost: 5
You are used to living and working in the cold, dark vacuum of space. Where others struggle with weightlessness, you have learned to adapt and use it to your advantage.
Zero-G: Performing actions in zero gravity does not incur any penalties to your task checks.
Story Points: Spend 1 Story Point to flip any physical task check when operating in zero gravity.
ROCKETSHIP OPERATOR
Tier 2: requires Pilot
Learning: Engineering or Vehicles
Cost: 5
Maneuvering a vehicle through the vastness of space is a whole other beast than just driving a car or flying an airplane, but you are qualified to do it.
I can fly in space: You know how to pilot a spacefaring vessel, calculate interplanetary flight routes and so on.
Story Points: Spend 2 Story Points to reroll a Vehicles task check when flying in space, and keep the new roll.
EQUIPMENT
DUOCORDER
Story Points: 1
Contents: Handheld scanner.
Tags: Scientific analysis, environmental scanning: +2 pips
MAGBOOTS
Story Points: 1
Contents: A pair of heavy, electromagnetic boots.
Tags: Ignore Zero-G
ROCKETSHIP
Story Points: 6
Contents: 4-8 passenger space vessel, communications device, gravity generator, hangar space.
Tags: Space travel
Requires: Rocketship Operator
