Equipment
A character can carry up to eight items. Anything smaller than the palm of your hand is a "small item" (s). There is no limit to the number of small items a character can carry, but use common sense. A small item can be named, or a treasure.
Some items are so large they take up two or even three slots.
A horse can carry two items with a saddle, ten items if it is a pack horse. A donkey can also carry ten items.
Some items contain portions/ammo. A quiver contains several (normally six) arrows. Field rations contains several meals. These should be noted and ticked off when used, using the boxes next to the equipment slots.
Food
A character must eat at least one meal per day, or take a point of Stress. They can try to fast, rolling Cunning + Toughness vs 15 - this delays the stress by one day and then increases by 5 points of difficulty per day.
Each meal takes up one slot except travel rations, which take up one slot but contain 7 meals. Some food types may take up more than one slot and then normally provides one meal per slot - f.ex. a newly felled roe deer takes up 3 slots and provides 3 meals (after cooking).
