Annoying Behaviour
You have some behaviour that other people find annoying. It could be a number of different behaviours; some examples would be constant burping, extreme gossiping, speaking in a very loud voice and so on. This will hamper you in most social situations.
Fanatic
You have very strong opinions about something. It could be religion, politics or some other idea. You are prepared to go very far to further your ideals and you consider any other opinions in the matter wrong. If need be, you?ll be prepared to risk or even sacrifice yourself or others in this pursuit.
Whenever you try to go against your convictions, you have to make a successful check against MENTAL STRENGTH at +5 difficulty. Even if you succeed, you will probably feel bad about it and work twice as hard for your ideas for a while to make up for it.
Common Sense
You are very down to earth, with a strong common sense. This means you are more likely to detect obvious stupid decisions before they are made.
In game terms, COMMON SENSE is the cue for the game master to ask the player ?Is that really a smart thing to do?? when he is about to make something stupid. This may seem like an odd problem, but it is quite common due to different interpretations of the situation or the player forgetting or not hearing some vital information.
Compulsive Behaviour
You have some kind of behaviour, which you do often for no real reason. It may be small things like always checking that all tyres are inflated before getting into the car or muttering to yourself to larger things like never sleeping indoors. Several other disadvantages are actually specific variants of compulsive behaviours, for instance ADDICTION, DAREDEVIL, LECHEROUS and BAD TEMPER. Use specific disadvantages when possible and use COMPULSIVE BEHAVIOUR to catch behaviours that fall between the specific disadvantages.
Most of the time, you are not aware that your behaviour is odd and sometimes not even that you are doing it. If you want to suppress your behaviour, a MENTAL STRENGTH roll is needed at +5 difficulty, especially under stress. Depending on the situation, your behaviour can cause other people to perceive you as strange or the behaviour may cause big problems for you.
Delusion
There are some issues where you are not completely in touch with reality. You may believe that eating cooked meat rots the stomach, aliens are spying on you, mind-controlling substances are added to beer or that cellular phones fry your brain. This is obvious to you, but everybody else just considers you strange, even though you try to explain it to them at every opportunity.
Some delusions will not only affect what other people think about you, they will also affect your behaviour to a point where your daily life is severely hampered. If you think cars are camouflaged aliens and only go out when they are parked, which in your mind means they are asleep, it will inhibit your daily life and the choices you make severely.
You firmly believe your delusion, but may sometimes suppress the urge to convert others by making a check against MENTAL STRENGTH at +5 difficulty. When you are speaking about your delusion, your social skills are at +5 difficulty.
Obsessed
Your mind is focused on a single issue, which you consider the most important of all. This is related to COMPULSIVE BEHAVIOUR, but where COMPULSIVE BEHAVIOUR is about what you do, OBSESSED is about what you think. The issue can vary a lot; it could be the environment, the lack of morals on TV, fear of assault and so on. This will affect your every thought. An environmentalist will bicker about fossil fuels when offered a lift, a moralist will write angry letters to the newspapers and TV stations, someone afraid of assaults will not go out alone and will have several locks and security chains on the door. You also take every opportunity to preach your obsession to other people, trying to convert them. Note that an obsession, while somewhat similar to an interest, goes much further. It is not just something you do; it is something you are.
If you need to suppress your obsession, a successful check against MENTAL STRENGTH at +5 difficulty is needed. People will quickly notice your obsession and stereotype you, so that even when you manage to hide your obsession, there is a fair chance that they will not notice it and still consider you obsessed.
De ger alla lite olika twist på ämnet, beroende på hur man vill hantera det. Take your pick.
