    Pendragon?

Yeah, that's a fine price. Honestly, a lot of GPC is very systems light.

    Pendragon?

Based on the 6e preview adventure they did, it will be 99% compatible.

    Pendragon?

If you don't mind English, we've played quite a lot of Pendragon. While the editions are all pretty similar, I'd go with 5.2. All the extra stuff is 4 is pointless quaff that isn't needed. You are definitely meant to play the great campaign but you can absolutely do your own thing too (or do...

    Folkets BRP

yeah, FATE handles the odds in a very transparent way. I do like that.

Pick 5 DoD adventures to make a campaign

I like both of these sequences. Interesting that Maktens Portar shows up in both.

    Folkets BRP

One thing BRP did do for me (and DoD is mostly to blame here) is that I feel very strongly that the player should see their chances on the character sheet. "+4" doesn't tell me anything. 50% tells me everything.

    Folkets BRP

Me and a friend of mine came up with the term "BRP20" to mean games that have a BRP root but which use a D20..sorry...T20 instead. It also tends to signify that the game is a bit more daring in deviating from the BRP-norms than is usually the case.

Pick 5 DoD adventures to make a campaign

Here's the challenge: From the official adventures (including Sinkadus I suppose) pick out 5 DoD adventures to tie together into a campaign (including in what order they would be played). It's fine to make changes to the location or set-up of an adventure if needed to fit the format.

Systemval - vad spelar ni för system?

I randomly suggested to my main group that an anime fantasy campaign would be fun and they got super excited, so it looks like we're playing either OVA or BESM next year.

That makes sense. I had this feeling I had seen it before but a quick look didn't discover it.

DoD books in Danish. An overview/retrospective

Alphaspel randomly has a bunch of them. I've noticed the collector prices for old DoD stuff have shot up like crazy in the past few years.

DoD books in Danish. An overview/retrospective

I thought some of the collectors and supernerds might find this of interest. In Denmark, we received a small number of DoD books translated and occasionally adapted slightly. DoD was moderately successful and helped cement BRP as a sort of default for Danish gamers for a while. Both of the main...

    Motstånd mot Motståndstabellen

I actually think the problem here is the rules only giving one way of breaking free (STY vs STO). I'm fine with a human having no ability to wrestle a gigantic snake monster, but they should be able to try slipping through its grasp, poking it in the eye or some other method of distracting it.

    Motstånd mot Motståndstabellen

In general, games should have less opposed rolls anyways. Nothing to ruin a players day like "Yay, I made a really difficult roll yay! Look at this lucky roll, oh man this is so cool" and then the GM goes "okay, so he needs to roll a 200 or less on 1D6 to resist. Yeah, its a 3, sorry".(n)

    Motstånd mot Motståndstabellen

Yeah, Symbaroum does it really well too. Some groups I've played with are not keen on "The player always rolls" but it IS very smooth in play.

    Motstånd mot Motståndstabellen

You do, but now you have to add a "what if both fails or both roll the same result or I roll a crit and you get a regular success" list of exceptions. Resistance table is one roll, you get a result, it orders the pizza you like AND once you are done playing, it even tidies up the room.
  20. R

    Motstånd mot Motståndstabellen

Maybe a minority view, but I find the resistance table to be easier to use, faster and simpler than most of the systems that usually get brought up to replace it. Doubly so in "BRP20" games where skills are 1-20 instead of 1-100. "Okay, we'll call it STR vs SIZ to knock the dude out the window...
